How do you get to Dougies?
There are numerous ways to get to Port Douglas. Here are details of the main ways of getting here.
| Free Cairns Pick-up | | Our bus cruises down to Cairns every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 8:30am and can pick you up from anywhere in Cairns between and 10:30am and 11:00am. Places are limited so please book early.
| | | | | Bus | | There are several coach companies that run services to/from Cairns and Port Douglas. Costs are between AUD$20.00 - AUD$35.00 one way depending on the company and the time. If you would like to make a booking you can either ask your Cairns accommodation or we can arrange it for you at the time of booking. When you jump on the bus tell the driver that you are going to Dougies and they will kindly drop you off right out front.
| | | | | Driving up | | Take the one and only road north out of Cairns past the airport and follow the signs to Port Douglas and or Mossman. The drive along the Captain Cook Highway takes about 45 minutes and is one of the most scenic coastal drives in the country. The Port Douglas turnoff is 15kms before Mossman, take this and travel towards the village for about 3kms. Just past the fire station you will see Dougies on your left.
